Author's Note

While the town is simply referred to as 'Shoals' by residents, it is actually divided into two parts. The main railroad separates Lower Shoals from High Shoals.
The town is mostly centered along Main Street (Highway 65) and features a large roundabout in the center where the courthouse is located.
